Dan's 1980 Eagle at sea!
This car has 212,000 miles on it, and is driven daily once again. From March 1985, when
I purchased it used at Penn Auto Plaza (for $4300 and a '77 Pacer Wagon in trade), until
December 1991, when I purchased an '82 Eagle Wagon (also pictured above), I drove this car
on a daily basis. The untimely retirement of the '82 Eagle, and fire in the engine
compartment of the '86 Eagle that replaced the '82, led to this vehicle being driven daily
again. In May 1998 Dawn and I found a 1987 Eagle Wagon, sending this car to backup status
once again, with almost 215,000 miles on the odometer, and not much left of the
floorboards.
UPDATE: This car has been retired. My wife and I have found not only an '87 Eagle wagon,
but an '84 Eagle wagon as well.
Further Update: I sold this car for $200 in October 1998. I hope it gets used for a year
or two, but it's just plain worn out.
